My real name is Charlotte, but most people call me Charlie. I am originally from France and also lived in Germany for a few years, before moving to China 1,5 years ago. I am passionate about sports, more particularly outdoor sports: hiking/mountaineering, climbing,paragliding, snowboarding… and now mainly focusing on trail running (since other outdoor sports are more difficult to practice when living in Shanghai).
I started running mountains in France a few years ago, motivated by a friend of mine. Now, I figured it is the best way for me to spend time in nature and discover China. Through trail running, I have had the chance to travel to amazing places and to meet incredible people here! That’s why I want to share my experience. I want to tell people that trail running is much more than “just running”.
